We’re pleased you’re interested in joining our vibrant, busy and successful school community. Application forms can be found in the sections below and are separated by department and personal circumstances. Please choose the form carefully, as filling in the wrong form could delay your application, or prevent it from reaching the correct department for consideration. Please also remember: you are filling in the form for the year group your child would be joining, not the year group they are currently in.

For example, if your child is currently in Year 6, and you would like to apply for a place in Year 7, you should complete the secondary department application form and choose “Year 7” as the year on entry.

If you would like to apply for more than one place, please ensure you fill out the relevant form for each of your children.

Please note that we receive a high volume of applications for a limited number of places, all applying students will be subject to an interview and/or assessment process. Completing an application does not guarantee a place at NES. Following your application, our administration team will be in touch with information about the next steps and interview dates.

Primary Policy

We maintain flexibility and breadth of provision, to enable us to receive pupils at any stage of their career and provide them with the highest possible standards of education. Children of all nationalities and religions are considered for acceptance. Children are assessed to evaluate their suitability for the provision at NES.

Process for acceptance

Parents are required to complete the appropriate application form and provide documents as stipulated by the Ministry of Education. Due to the high demand for places applications will be given priority from the following:
- Children with a brother or sister at NES
- Children of ex-NES parents
- Children of families new to Kuwait
- Children from within Kuwait with an excellent report from their present school. (not applicable for KG)

It should be noted that none of the above guarantees admission into the school. All children are assessed and interviewed before acceptance. There is a non-refundable assessment fees of KD 25 for all studnets.

We are unable to accommodate children with specific learning or behavioural difficulties.

Secondary Policy

Years 7 – 9

All students are required to take a test in English and Mathematics to ascertain their suitability for the rigour of academic courses.
Provision is made for overseas students with little knowledge of English to help them acquire the skills necessary to study in the English language.
All students will be expected to provide a copy of their school report from their previous school. Where a student is applying from another school in Kuwait the headteacher of the previous school may be contacted for a reference regarding behaviour.

Years 10 – 11

Students will be required to fulfil all of the above requirements and their suitability for IGCSE courses will be ascertained especially with regard to accelerated programmes.

Years 12 – 13 (Lower 6 & Upper 6)

Students who have completed Year 11 in the British system of education will be required to have achieved 5 passes at IGCSE with a minimum of grade B in subjects they intend to pursue at AS and A level (there can be exemptions under some circumstances). Where students are from a foreign education system – their results from that system will be evaluated along with optional testing in AS/A level choice subjects if necessary.
