Charitable Works

The tradition of the New English School is for our students to give a helping hand where needed. As part of the Personal, Social Development Programme, pupils are made aware of communities less fortunate than themselves, and students participate in several fund raising events during the school year.

Funds raised are allocated to a range of charities, and contributions are also made in support of a range of international appeals for aid which arise during the school year. Students are always consulted and involved in the allocation of funds.

The pupils of NES have been recognised for their fund raising efforts in a range of media and publications, including the Kuwaiti national press, Oasis magazine (WaterAid) , and International School magazine (ECIS).

Students in both the Primary and Secondary departments usually manage to raise a total in excess of KD15,000 during the academic year, by participating in the wide range of fund raising events which take place in the school.
