The children began their charity drive by collecting coins in small water bottles. Cake sales, sponsored spellings and a sponsored walk raised more money. Some children sold books and other personal effects, groups of children made fruit salads which they sold to teachers, while some popped their pocket money into the collection bottles. WaterAid badges were made and each one was numbered; we used these as entries for a raffle. The children’s efforts were recognised in an article in the current WaterAid Fundraising Magazine and were also featured in the latest ECIS magazine. |
