For all children the school day commences at 8am. Most children are in the school playground by 7:45am.

Throughout the day children have two 20 minute break-times to play outside.

The KG classes and Reception classes play in the Kindergarten garden area where they have access to sand and water activities and larger play equipment such as slides and climbing frames.

Year 1 and Year 2 children play in the main playground in an area segregated from the Juniors.

All playtimes are supervised by members of staff.

The Infant children have a 30 minute lunch break that takes place within the classroom. This is supervised by the teacher and teaching assistant and provides an opportunity for the children to enjoy their lunch in a cool and calm atmosphere. Lunch boxes that children bring from home should contain a healthy lunch consisting of a sandwich, some fruit and a drink. Chocolate and sweets are not allowed and crisps and chips are discouraged.

For the majority of lessons the children are based in their classrooms, however they go to specialist facilities for music, PE, library and ICT lessons. They are escorted to these lessons by their class teacher and assistant.

For Kindergarten the school day finishes at 12:45. In Reception children are able to leave from 2pm. For Year 1 and Year 2 the school day finishes at 2:15.

All children are collected from their classrooms by parent or authorised adult.
