PRIMARY DEPARTMENT ADMISSIONS POLICY Policy Statement Process for acceptance The following criterion then needs to be met: 1. Present a satisfactory report from the previous school (Year 1 -6) Special consideration will be given to the children who have: 1. been recommended for acceptance by the Chairman or Director However it should be noted that the above does not guarantee admission into the school. Places are not available for children with specific learning or behavioral difficulties. Admission Interview Procedure The child is assessed by the head teacher, deputy or a panel of teachers from the appropriate year group. Infant children are assessed in numerical understanding, linguistic capabilities, gross and fine motor skills, cognitive development and social skills. The final decision to recommend a child for acceptance is that of the headteacher. |
